Founded in 1010 during the reign of King Ly Cong Uan, Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam. Located in the Red River Delta in the center of North Vietnam, it is the political, economic, cultural, commercial and tourist centre of the country. Hanoi is a city of timeless grace—a grand old dame of Asia, aging with style. Today Hanoi’s centre is a quixotic blend of Parisian grace, and Asian pace, an architectural museum piece evolving in harmony with history.
