Sat. June 3 Depart U.S.

Sun. June 4 Arrive Edinburgh

Arrive Edinburgh and transfer to the hotel where you can relax and refresh before heading out on a late morning or afternoon walking tour of the Royal Mile (times will depend on flight arrivals).

Dinner on your own.

Mon. June 5 Edinburgh

Breakfast at the hotel.

For those not golfing, a visit to the Palace of Holyrood, the Queen's official residence in Edinburgh and the home of Scottish royal history.

Afternoon CE Lecture (3 Hours)

Dinner this evening is a very special event as we head to Winton Castle to enjoy a traditional Scottish dinner, including a bagpiper, the “address to the haggis”, music and highland dancing.

Tues. June 6 Blair Castle and Dalwhinnie Whiskey Tasting

Breakfast at the hotel and check out

Today we make our way north to the magnificent Highlands. Our first stop is Blair Castle which has been in the Atholl family for more than seven centuries and is the ancestral home of the Clan Murray.

Our next stop is Dalwhinnie Distillery for a whiskey tasting. Built in 1897 and currently the highest distillery in the country, Dalwhinnie – or “Plain of Meetings” in Gaelic – is named for its location at a junction of old drove roads, between two mountain ranges. Year after year it survives the coldest of conditions to produce smooth, golden heather honey-like spirit. Uncover the history behind the liquid.

Wed. June 7 Highlands

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a CE Lecture (3 Hours) and hotel check-out.

We can’t leave Inverness without a stop at Loch Ness for a photo opportunity and possible Nessie sighting!

Next, we enjoy the beauty of the Highlands with a picnic in picturesque Glencoe, perhaps Scotland’s most famous and scenic glen. Glencoe is also arguably Scotland’s most historic
glen, and it was recently voted as Scotland’s most romantic glen.

Thurs. June 8 Isle of Mull

Breakfast at the hotel.

For those not golfing, a quick ferry ride for a visit to the Isle of Mull, home of the dramatic Duart Castle, which sits high on a cliff-top, proudly guarding the Firth of Lorne. On Mull, you'll also find the fishing port of Tobermory, famous for its pastel-coloured houses, which line the harbour where we will enjoy some free to time to wander and explore.

Dinner tonight is the freshest and most authentic Scottish seafood straight from the loch!

Fri. June 9 Loch Fyne and Inverary

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a CE Lecture (3 Hours) and hotel check-out.

For those not participating in the meeting, there will be optional activities.
- Du Na Cruach Ranger Walk to enjoy the local scenery
- Argocart on an Inverary estate for flora, fauna and wild life viewing (additional fees apply)
- Spa treatments at the hotel (additional fees apply)

Sat. June 10 Gleneagles and Stirling Castle

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a CE Lecture (3 Hours).

This afternoon enjoy some of them many activities at the hotel, including golf (additional fees apply) or enjoy a tour of Stirling Castle, one of the most famous in all of Scotland, this medieval castle towers over the site of Stirling Bridge, the place of William Wallace’s victory over the English. From the castle, one can also gaze upon Bannock-burn, where the English were again defeated in 1314 by Robert the Bruce. In its day, Stirling Castle was not only a strategic, military post due to its geographic location in the Highlands and at the epicenter of the wars of independence during the 13th and 14th centuries, but also the home to such important Scottish monarchs like King James VI and Mary, Queen of Scots.
